Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Automatic Transmission Rebuilder to join our busy team! If you have a minimum of 5 years building experience, we want to hear from you! We are a well established shop in Castle Rock.

Position Responsibilities
• Diagnose, rebuild and repair automatic transmission systems: Domestic, European and Asian
• Ability to communicate technical diagnoses and repairs to non-mechanical teammates and customers as required
• Attend technical seminars and continued learning classes to learn new information and techniques
• Keep management aware of mechanical repair problems as they occur
• Maintains an organized service department
• Perform quality inspections prior to returning the vehicle to the customer
• Ability to perform basic maintenance Job Requirements
• Minimum of 5+ years’ experience working as a Transmission Rebuilder
• Knowledge of electrical and computer systems a plus
• Hold a valid driver’s license and have reliable transportation
• Own professional grade tools
• Experience with mechanical diagnosis, problem-solving and repair experience specific to transmission rebuilding
• Ability to communicate solutions to others
• ASE certifications a plus
• Ability to lift 50 pounds, bend, crawl, climb & squat
• Deadline and detail oriented
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Safe working knowledge of shop tools and equipment

Auto Technician /Mechanic

H&M Transmission and Automotive is looking for a Mechanic to join our team. We are a well established, full repair shop in Castle Rock. We strive to give our customers and employees the best. Our customers are our family. Shouldn’t you be? Family first is our motto.

Duties:

 

    • Perform oil changes and routine preventative maintenance on vehicles.
    • Diagnostic and trouble-shooting of vehicles along with performing ultimate repair of vehicles
    • Ability to R&R Engines & Transmissions
    • Knowledge of diesel and gas engines.
    • Repairs to include(but not limited to): radiators, brakes, differentials, u-joints, valve body, catalytic converters, tune-ups, wiring and more
    • Knowledge of all makes and models of cars, light duty- medium duty trucks, foreign, domestic, gas, diesel and late models to classics.
    • Welding and fabrication.
    • Efficiently documenting repairs needed with the service adviser. Customer Complaint, Cause & Correction.
    • Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities and reading technical publications.

Requirements:

Opportunity and position information: 

H&M Looking for a light duty Diesel Emissions Inspector. We are willing to train the right person.

Job qualifications:

·         Applicant must have knowledge of light duty diesel vehicles (GVW of 14,000 and under) and the required emissions components

·         Must be 18 years old

·         Must have a valid Colorado Driver’s License without restrictions

·         Physically able to stand, bend, stoop, kneel and balance for extended periods of time

·         Physically able to lift, push, pull up to 50 lbs. on an occasional basis

·         Ability to pass State Emission Inspection Certification (paid training provided)

·         Familiar with diesel vehicle components and have the ability to recognize them

·         Knowledge of a Windows based computer system

·         Able to work efficiently and multi-task in a fast paced, busy shop environment with a smile and positive attitude

·         Work in an environment that includes vehicle exhaust fumes, noise, and heat

·         Work safely around operating motor vehicles

Responsibilities:

·         Perform customer service and emission inspection functions following established procedures, enter and verify vehicle information with computer data

·         Play an important role in limiting the production of Emissions by identifying the polluting vehicles

·         Operate vehicles during the emissions system test, use exhaust analysis equipment and run a dynamometer
